I love creating Jewelry. These earrings are one of a kind (for the most part). I love working with polymer clay and discovered that covering it with a coating or two of epoxy resin makes it glow with a special depth. I also like to re-purpose and"up-cycle" materials so you will often find elements such as the wood earrings below that have taken old items and made them new again.- - - - - - - - -
The pictures don't do these justice. I was at the coast and was inspired by all the blues and greens of the ocean. I took those colors, as well as the frothy white of the waves and blended them to create the polymer clay base of these earrings. I then covered the baked clay with Epoxy Resin to help bring out the colors. Unfortunately that same beautiful gloss also makes it difficult to take good pictures!
These cute ghosts are made out of both cream colored polymer clay and cream with gold flecks blended in. They both have a bit of glow in the dark polymer clay added and thus do glow faintly in the dark.
This are fun and easy and actually one thing that I can duplicate. |
